I am a Biomedical Science graduate and currently a Medical student at King`s College London. This aids my ability to teach namely Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level, as well as maths as GCSE. Due to my past experiences I am familiar with the medical school application process and interview technique (particularly for MMIs) in the UK and can provide insight and aid/train any students interested.

My approach to teaching is building a foundation of knowledge with fundamental concepts which can be added to progressively. I believe in teaching students in an effective manner in order to excel in exams; this involves using quizzes/repetition, recognises key words/reoccurring questions and the use of past papers to consolidate knowledge and highlight weak areas.

My greatest asset is my ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and easily understandable manner for students. Also my familiarity with exams helps to improve technique and skills to answer questions thoroughly. I am able to quickly generate a rapport with students and create a comfortable learning environment. I encourage questions and revision of topics as needed for each individual. Ultimately the sessions will be dependant one what the student would like to learning, but by creating an agreed structure/plan for further sessions it will help to meet the students end goals and achieve exceptional results.

Experience: A large part of my ability to teach is from my own personal experiences I`ve had with various exams across my education. During my time at Sixth Form I helped out in GSCE classes to aid students struggling with certain topics and improve their essay writing abilities. At University I often lead group study sessions as well as one to one sessions where I help consolidate knowledge and identify and flawed understanding a student may have. Often there is a lot of information to learn, however I am able to produce this is a concise and easy to remember many by quizzing students and content learnt focussing on questions that commonly appear on tests. I commonly read students essay work and help to create improved structure of essay and provide feedback so that students may revise and gain maximum marks. Additionally I have previously helped students prepare for medical interviews by particularly focussing on common interview questions and how to best improve the clarity and structure of their answers.
