Information about Laura
Hi! My name is Laura and I currently work as a Maths/English group teacher at an outstanding primary school on the Wirral. Over the 11 years that I`ve been teaching, I have worked in KS1 and KS2 and have experience in delivering both SATs and 11 plus tuition.
Personalised sessions are planned to target gaps, where tailored resources which are fun, engaging and progressive are used to aid learning. I have a passion for computers and technology - I always try to incorporate ICT into my lessons where possible providing exciting, stimulating and challenging lessons.
I am a mum of 3 and have experienced first hand the differences between boys and girls learning styles - a range of activities are included to address the specific needs and interests of your child. Whether it be Power Rangers, My Little Pony to LFC or Zoella - games are tailored to be exciting!

After gaining my Grade 8 in piano when I was 15, I have been teaching piano in 1:1 lessons from beginners to advanced level entering pupils for ABRSM exams.

Similarly, I have also been employed as part of a team to develop the current reading papers for the Y6 tests at a national marking event for the SQA exam board.
