I am a bilingual German and English speaker and have taught General and Business German (and English) across all three levels: Basic, Independent and Proficient as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for over 12 years at inlingua Berlin and inlingua Trieste, which saw me providing tuition to clients such as Daimler AG and KPMG, as well as many independent learners. I have degrees in German and Political Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Western Washington University.

I also have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Secondary MFL) from the University of Chester and am a qualified teacher in the UK with all required DBS clearances. I work part-time as a secondary school teacher of MFL but wish to continue taking on more tutoring work in future. I am thoroughly familiar with AQA GCSE and A Level specifications as well as what it takes to make learners enjoy lessons geared toward progress and achievement.

I am happy to teach all age ranges, and tailor my lessons to support learners exactly as needed and/or requested. I am also passionate about German culture (literature, history, food, you name it) and like to introduce many elements of German culture and make the lessons fun!

Availability: I am currently unavailable due to a move overseas. I should be available for tuition commencing September 2021.

-Teaching Key Stage 3 but primarily to GCSE and A Level in accordance with AQA specifications

-Examiner in English for Business on CEF Levels B1 and B2 for The European Language Certificate Tests

-German national who has lived and worked in Germany (28 years), as well as the UK, the U.S., Italy, and Vietnam.
