Experience: I am a mathematics teacher with 6 years teaching experience. I provide tuition for the following key stages: KS2, KS3, KS4 and GCSE for a variety of exam boards: Edexcel, OCR and AQA.
I am a qualified exam marker for AQA and Edexcel marking GCSE exams for each exam board. This means I see the most common mistakes and misconceptions due to marking 500 papers each year allowing me to address these in my teaching.
My approach is to provide tailored tuition on a one to one basis to students to help them improve their mathematics knowledge and boost their confidence in their ability.
I teach my students how to think independently and analytically, preparing them for the problem solving style questions the new GCSE includes. This will allow them to develop skills that will help them to succeed in Mathematics, in addition to other subjects. My teaching style is tailored to the individual. I explain topics concisely and maintain the student`s attention by keeping lessons interactive.
I provide all printed material and resources, homework where necessary and regular and structured feedback to both my student and their parents.
