Information about Shirley
I am a published author, poet and primary school teacher, with over 40 years teaching experience in schools.
I teach creative writing at primary and lower secondary level, also the creative writing aspect of the Eleven and Thirteen Plus to include: persuasive writing, story writing, descri ptive writing, poetry, recounts, articles, speeches, comprehension, grammar and synonyms etc.

Shirley is an amazing tutor! She challenges my daughter every lesson and always asks her to go one step further. Although very challenging, my daugther is very much enjoing the lessons, she started to love reading books and her story writing skills have massively improved. Highly recommended tutor!

Shirley was very much in touch with the exam requirements for my son’s 13+ exams and helped him to deal with comprehension questions better - an area he needed help with. She also boosted his English standard overall and helped him to pass his exams with flying colours.
