I am a friendly and enthusiastic Literacy Intervention Tutor.I love teaching.I use a variety of resources and strategies to make my lessons fun and engaging.My lessons are designed to boost confidence in phonics, reading and comprehension.I have an Enhanced DBS and have completed a course in Safeguarding Children.I have more than seven years of experience of working with primary school children.
Recently, I have completed CELTA- Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults , awarded by Cambridge University. CELTA is the most widely recognised English teaching qualification in the world.
Availability: I can offer tuitions after school on all weekdays and Saturdays.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have worked with Primary school children for more than seven and a half years.As an EAL assistant and Literacy Intervention Tutor, I have worked with many children whose first language is not English.I have successfully helped both my children in their Grammar school exam preparations for English.
I have done volunteering as an ESOL tutor in a program for that helps participants to practice conversational English.

Shilpa manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing!! She’s patient and supportive, but really knows how to motivate her student. She’s great at building confidence and keeping lessons fun and engaging through a variety of activities that improve conversation, writing, and reading skills.
