One of my strengths as a teacher is my enthusiastic and uplifting character. I use this to make learning science engaging and relevant to our everyday lives. I am an experienced teacher of science, and know how to tailor sessions to suit individual learning needs. I have marked for exam boards and am experienced with what examiners are looking for. I therefore make focused exam technique a big part of all sessions. My main objective is getting students to go into their exams feeling confident and secure.

Experience: I studied Biological Sciences at the University of Reading and achieved a upper second class with honors, and graduated in 2008. I then got involved with a few apprenticeships schemes on electron microscopy and stem cell research.

I completed my teacher training at the Institute of Education, University of London and achieved Qualified Teacher Status with a Biology specialism, qualifying me to teach Biology , Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and Biology at AS/A2 level.

I have been teaching all sciences at GCSE and AS/A level biology since 2010, both in central London and now in Hertfordshire. Along the way I have met all kinds of learners and take pleasure in building confidence and perfecting exam technique over time.
