Hi, my name is Ria and I’m currently an undergraduate student, formerly having studied at King Edward VI Grammar School and achieved 11A* at GCSE. I have tutored in Biology, Maths and Chemistry for 3 years now and when tutoring my students, I employ engaging methods of teaching and emphasise on exam technique; a pivotal step in performing well in examinations!

As I have completed the new Linear Biology, Chemistry and Maths A-levels, obtaining 2A* and A at A-level, I understand from personal experience the challenges that students potentially face when understanding underlying concepts in KS3 and GCSE which are then built on during A-levels. Therefore I aim to help my students also get a firm grasp in the foundations of a subject. This will help in the understanding of more challenging exam questions aimed towards Grade A/A* students.

Experience: I have been a Maths tutor at Chelmsford County High School for Girls, a Biology tutor at King Edward VI Grammar School and Chemistry tutor for a non-profit organisation at a local charity in Chelmsford, to provide education to those from all backgrounds. From my experience of teaching over these years, it has shown me that having a stimulating and informative teaching method is crucial and one that I will carry on using with my new students.
