Information about Laura
I have been a secondary school teacher for the last 15 years. I have taught English from ages 10-18 and I have worked with pupils with dyslexia, dyspraxia and autism.
I am friendly, approachable and reliable. I am currently working part time with a young man who has dyspraxia and also a young woman who has autism and is none verbal.
I am a mum of two, love the outdoors walking, swimming and running.
Availability: Any day accept Wednesday. I can also do evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Teacher of English for 15 years.
Mainstream schools but also experience with pupils who have dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism.
I have also tutored younger children and adult learners.

Laura is really dedicated to helping my sister and pushed her always to achieve her best work. My sister has already made progress with Laura for the short amount of time they have had, and she`s enjoying her studies which is a bonus. Laura is commendable at tutoring, always has a positive attitude and has been a fantastic help so far.

Laura has been working with my daughter since September 18; she got to know her on a personal level and catered her teaching around my daughters needs. Laura had her work cut out with my daughter, she had a very negative view on English due to not having great experiences through school, her barriers where up high and her confidence and self esteem was very low. However, Laura has a nature throughout her teaching that has changed my daughter outlook towards GCSE English and is ready to face her exam this year with much more confidence and determination. This is thanks to Laura!!! If your looking for a 1 to 1 tutor to give your child the skills and confidence to take their English up a level, I would highly recommend Laura to support your child to do this; she is calm, approachable and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to apply to your child’s learning. I and Steph thank you for everything you have done for her.
