Friendly, down-to-earth, I am excellent at making individual plans for students who may be struggling or are striving for the top marks available. I have my own library of books and tailored resources to share with students. Great track record of improving grades and excellent communication with parents and students.
Highly experienced tutor and teacher with a wide range of knowledge of modern and medieval topics and international and British history. I teach OCR, Edexcel, AQA and international qualifications, including Cambridge International. I also have examiner experience.
Additionally, I work with home-schooled students, have a great deal experience of working with students with additional needs such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia. Experienced in working with local authorities and students with EHCPs.

Experience: Since qualifying as a teacher 20 years ago, I have gained a good deal of experience in helping students of all abilities to achieve a grade of which they can be proud. I have a good track record of helping to raise grades and the confidence of my students. I work well with both tutees and parents alike, forging good working relationships with both and I give effective target-driven feedback.
I am an experienced teacher and tutor and I also run my own adult education business.

I feel very lucky to have met Louise through Tutor Hunt. Always friendly, engaging and professional (e.g. well prepared tutorials with insightful materials that supported structured lessons), Louise has done a fantastic job at supporting my children, enabling them to catch up with the studies ahead of the summer holidays. Louise has been helping my daughter with her forthcoming A-level History exams. She has been incredibly supportive - tailoring sessions to suit my daughter. Louise is incredibly knowledgeable and my daughter has enjoyed working with her. An excellent tutor who I recommend 100%!

Louise has helped my daughter enormously in preparation for her A level history, she is thorough, organised and gives comprehensive explanations which has helped my daughter who is dyslexic understand the content better. She has also helped her with exam techniques.
