Information about Rebecca
I am a supportive and enthusiastic tutor of Maths (KS2-A Level) and English (KS2 and Adult Learners).
I recently graduated with a First-Class BSc in Mathematics from a Russell Group University. I chose the module Mathematics Education during my final year of University. This increased my knowledge of how people learn mathematics, the common misconceptions that arise and therefore how best to teach mathematics. I am passionate about helping students learn and understand maths, particularly as I am aware that many students may struggle with mathematics concepts.
I am a native English speaker who grew up in London. I have excellent communication and people skills. My grammar and spoken language is exceptional. I offer English conversation classes to people whose first language is not English and who would like to practice and improve their English conversation skills.
My A Levels were in Maths, Psychology and Fine Art and I took English Literature up to AS Level.
My hobbies include dance, art, photography, reading, cooking and travelling.
Availability: Flexible hours weekdays and weekends.
I will be tutoring online throughout lockdown.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: As well as tutoring, I currently work as a teaching assistant in a primary school, running one to one and small group sessions across KS1 and KS2. I also previously undertook a 2-month maths teaching internship across two secondary schools where I helped plan, assist and deliver maths lessons to students aged year 7 to year 12. During my last year of sixth form, I supported students in year 12 with AS Maths on a weekly basis.
