Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: In 6 years of teaching and tutoring I have had the privilege of supporting more than 400 A Level students and more than 500 GCSE students to achieve fantastic grades in Sociology, well above the national averages. A very high number of my pupils surpass their target grades which has enabled them to access their first choice of University, Apprenticeships, Sixth-form and career.

At A level I am a specialist in the Education unit, the Beliefs in Society unit and the Theory and Methods unit. I am also highly skilled in teaching the Crime and Deviance and Families and Households units. I can support students at any stage of the course, and I endeavour to guide pupils through until their final examination. If you or your child is studying any other optional units, please contact me as I may also be able to offer tuition for these topics.

As an AQA specialist teacher I have had extensive experience of working alongside an AQA examiner and have attended multiple conferences run by AQA. I have detailed knowledge of the mark schemes and question types in the GCSE and A Level exams and I can support my pupils with developing the skills needed to gain marks in the exam. I use writing frames, essay structure and I pride myself on giving excellent feedback to my pupils to enable them to progress and reach their full potential. I strive to empower my students to improve their grades; whether to overcome underperformance or to reach the highest possible level.

Absolutely fantastic! A proper evaluation done to see what level my daughter was at and then a regular structure tailored to my daughters best style of working. She is working alongside her college structure to reinforce her learning but also providing essential skills to improve her thought processes and essay structure, which is an essential part of her final exams. BUT Elizabeth also makes her sessions interactive, and I am glad to hear how her thought processes have developed in terms of looking at society
