I became a teacher because I passionately believe in the transformational power of education and because I love my subject. Teaching English is not only about the power of words and how to use them but also about conveying and understanding complex ideas through a variety of texts. When we engage with English as a subject, we can learn to see things from many diverse perspectives that we would not necessarily otherwise have access to. I believe the subject teaches us to be more empathetic and more tolerant human beings.

Availability: Weekdays: After 4pm
Saturdays: from 9am - 6pm

Experience: I am a teacher of English both Language and Literature. I have been teaching in secondary schools for 12 years and have experience of KS3, GCSE and A Level. My GCSE and A Level results are always excellent which means that my students achieve their targets and I always have a high percentage of students who achieve beyond their target.
My qualifications are as follows: BA English and Sociology, Masters in Teaching and Learning.
I am also a GCSE examiner for AQA.
