I am a young, affable Cambridge graduate who is now a fully qualified Physics teacher, teaching KS3 Science and Physics to GCSE and to A-level.

Much of the enjoyment I gain from my work is the due to the opportunity to make physics and science in general more accessible to students. I take great pride in making the subject, which many find intimidating, accessible to all and firmly believe everyone can achieve in Physics with the right instruction and support.

Whilst my up-to-date pedagogical and assessment knowledge puts me in a prime position to teach students well, additionally I believe that my "less typical" Physicist identity (as a young woman with wide interests) means that I can help students feel like the subject is something that is "for them" also.

Wider interests include history, philosophy, psychology and sociology (all of which I took papers in at University), and I have also tutored in English and Mathematics in the past. I am also available for support for University applications, with particular insight into Oxbridge for obvious reasons.

Experience: -Education Tripos degree with Natural Science modules from the University of Cambridge;

-Qualified Teacher Status with 3 years teaching experience;

-Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Distinction, in which I did several research projects into cognitive Science and how young people best learn;

-High quality resources for learning (I take a lot of pride in my planning);

-Previous tutoring experience (for 2 years during my University studies);

-Consistently positive feedback from students I teach with regards to my explanations and manner with them;

-Proven record of helping students make good progress in summative assessments (such as GCSEs).
