Hi everyone/ hola a todos,

I`m Kath and I tutor English and Spanish as foreign languages :) I can help anyone from beginner- advanced levels in whatever they feel they need. I`m happy to work with adults or kids, and have helped both before! This may be with conversation practice, helping with grammar issues, practicing for GCSE or A Level exams, going through comprehension exercises etc.

I myself am English and have CEFR level C1 Spanish :) I just finished my degree in Spanish, Portuguese & Linguistics at Newcastle University with a First Class Honours Degree and a Distinction in spoken Spanish. During the third year of my degree, I spent 6 months living and working in Barcelona, where I spoke Spanish with colleagues, friends and my current partner.

I have experience tutoring online and in teaching language classes in my role at Routes into Languages North East. Currently, due to covid, I am offering tutoring online.

Experience: As a Modern Languages & Linguistics student, languages are my passion. I understand how hard it is to learn and improve at a language and would love to help you in that process!

I have experience helping adults with English conversation/ grammar practice and with prep for Cambridge English Qualifications. Whilst at university, I also tutored two adults who wanted to improve their basic levels of Spanish, helping them with conversation practice and explaining grammar/ pronunciation mistakes and recommending other activities to help them improve.

I have also run conversation sessions with GCSE and A Level students at schools in and around Newcastle, and given Spanish taster classes for children and adults, in my role as a Student Language Ambassador at Routes into Languages North East.
