Hello, I`m Dylan – a professional, patient and supportive English teacher, with comprehensive subject knowledge in language and linguistics. I have worked with a wide range of age groups in the UK and abroad, which has given me insight into the diverse challenges students may face. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each child to ensure they effectively meet their goals and learning outcomes.

I specialise in SATs preparation, Key Stage 1–4, GCSE English Language and Literature, and IELTS.

I also offer support and guidance with writing UCAS personal statements and university assignments.

Experience: I have been tutoring since my A-levels, so I can empathise with and understand the challenges students face at each stage of their education. What began as helping classmates and younger students has gradually developed into a genuine passion. This interest led me to work as a teaching assistant in UK primary and secondary schools, where I provided one-to-one support and gained a deep insight into the national curriculum across all key stages. More recently, I have been working as an EFL teacher in both the UK and East Asia, teaching adults and children alike.

For students who need additional support, I adapt my pace and work more closely with them to ensure they build the strong foundation necessary so they can achieve the best results.
I use a range of methods in my tutorials, including past exam papers, practice questions, and model answers. For EFL students, these are often supplemented with activities such as role plays and exercises using authentic materials.
