I am a third-year student at the University of Southampton studying Business Entrepreneurship. Maths was my favourite subject at school and I really enjoy teaching it to those who may not find it so easy. My approach is patient and understanding but I will also try to stretch my students to reach their potential, and will use different methods to explain a solution if the student is struggling. I am happy to focus on single topics, or practice past papers. I can set homework for my pupils to consolidate understanding, if the parent wishes me to do so.
I am a successful tutor as I have a love for maths, and enjoy sharing my students progress. I will accept questions from students in areas that they find challenging then use practice paper questions to test their understanding. I am very thorough and make sure that students know that they can ask again if they still don`t understand after explanation. I try to keep the lessons fun and engaging to ensure maximum progression for the student.
