My name is Joy and most people call me Jay .
I believe that key to success is getting a good fundamental educational background from lower educational level and moving upper to your higher education level through hard work and perseverance .
I have been teaching for over 12 years which includes my teaching experience from reception class up to A-levels. I have taught IGCSE, GCSE, Common Entrance, 11+ ,SATs, adult functional maths & English .
I have worked in a home work club / tuition centre where we have learners ages from 5 -16 years old.

There is no such thing ‘ I can not do it’ when I am teaching my student ,it is more of ‘how can we work together to get it done.’ I will always support and guide you through till you can get the work done on your own and confidently .
I am a very patient teacher and I do not mind spending time making sure my students understands and gets it right .

Coming from a family background where all my brothers and sisters have good academic records with a minimum of 2 degrees, and having a mother who was a teacher for over 50 years gave me the dream and desire from a young age to become a teacher .
I have a first degree in Education curriculum & technology with a concentration in Economics. That was where I gained my existing mathematical skills and have been teaching maths since 2003.
I also have a professional qualification on early years ( EYPS - early years professional status) which supports my expertise in teaching school age children .
