Hi, my name`s Brandon, and I`m a fourth year medical student at Newcastle. I provide online and in person (local to central Newcastle) tuition for the below subjects. I am experienced across the ability spectrum, including SEND students. I have availability Monday to Saturday currently, as it`s only the start of the academic year.

My approach the tutoring is informal, interactive and flexible. It`s important to establish a baseline and some realistic targets first. If right for the student, I set homework; this focuses on the easy content, so we can reserve the harder stuff for our lessons! I maximise the time in lesson engaging the student with practice questions, rather than passively teaching. Outside of tutoring, I have an academic interest in cardiology. I`m President of my medical school`s cardiology society; in addition, I`m looking to publish soon. Outside of all work, I`m a middle distance runner, and (trying to) learn the drums. Experience: I am been tutoring students aged 11 to 18 for 2 years, across the ability spectrum and in a variety of contexts. Some have strived for top grades; as a medical student, I can teach extracurricular content, to help them compete with personal statements and interviews. Others have had difficulties, and have needed intense tuition to acheive that pass.
