I am an Imperial College alumnus and QTS qualified teacher that believes that with the right support and encouragement all children can achieve their potential. Too often in school environments, teachers are unable to provide this through sheer weight of workload and large class sizes. I have experienced this both as a teacher and parent. My own three children, who at various times came to believe they were unable to "do Maths" and/or "do English" at school, required my intervention to give them the belief and strategies to succeed.

Prior to training as a teacher, I spent the bulk of my career in management positions for global blue-chip oil & gas firms across four continents. As a result, I have varied interests, am a believer in discipline, am compassionate/approachable, and have a sense of humour I like to share with my students!

Availability: I will be available from 7th August, 2022, and my working hours will be:

During Term Time:
Mon-Fri: 10:00-15:00hrs
Sat-Sun: 10:00-17:00hrs

During School Holidays:
Mon-Sun: 10:00-17:00hrs

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have predominantly taught at Year 5 & 6 at primary level but have left full-time teaching to concentrate on providing one-to-one tuition to children that will benefit from the support I can provide and belief I can instil.

My qualifications are:

QTS qualified teacher (2018)
B Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering - Imperial College, London (1990)
4 GCE A Levels & 13 GCE O Levels
