Information about Aaron

Having obtained a First Class Law Degree, completed the Bar professional training course and secured pupillage in 2020, I understand that exam technique is equally as important as learning the legal material if you want to achieve good Law results. I have several years of experience seeing how the law works in practice from a whole range of perspectives, both in the UK and offshore.

Undergraduate Subjects taught: Contract, Tort, Criminal, Trusts

Availability: I currently have capacity to take on 2 students on a weekly basis.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Law is a subject of logic, rules, reason and debate. Therefore, it is important for Law students of all levels to understand the structured processes behind solving problems, before then adding analysis from different perspectives and presenting conclusions when writing essays or dealing with problem questions.

Like many other subjects, it is important to recognise that exams are in part, a test of memory as well as reasoning and analysis, and so repetition and exam technique methods are imperative and should not be overlooked. With this in mind, rather than merely teach students about the law, it is my objective to improve students` level of understanding, and incorporate exam technique, so that they are better prepared for assessments and improve grades.

In addition to exam preparation, it is also my objective (when requested) to assist law students to understand and map out their individual routes to getting training contracts and pupillages. Having worked for numerous firms and obtained pupillage commencing in October 2020, I am keen to set aside additional time to advise and mentor those with the potential to break into a very competitive legal industry and thrive.
