Hello!

My name is Mehak and I am from Birmingham.

I studied Criminology and Psychology at university and now work as a teacher. I have always had a passion for English Language and Literature, and always got the highest marks in school. Creative writing is one of my favourite things to do and I love reading too. I can be a bit of a stickler for correct grammar and punctuation, which makes this job perfect for me. I have been a volunteer and private tutor of English, both academic and general. I can honestly say that there is nothing else I would rather do than teach.

Positivity is the key to succeeding and that is the motto I go by. I think learning is the best and we can have so much fun learning together! Don`t be nervous, I am here to help. It`s okay if you make mistakes because that is how we learn. Just keep calm and keep smiling! You can do this and I can`t wait for us to get started!

Experience: I am a Criminology and Psychology graduate with a 2:1 degree. I have an A in GCSE English Literature, a B in GCSE English Language and a C in A-Level English Literature. I would like to become a teacher at some point in the future, which is one of my reasons for tutoring. I started tutoring in my final year of university. Two of my students passed their 11+ and others got excellent grades in their GCSEs. I love helping others achieve!
I am currently working as a Business Studies teacher. I also volunteer as a tutor for disadvantaged students and children of NHS and key workers. I also have experience teaching English and ESL.
