Dr Jessica MBChB.

I qualified as a medical doctor in 2018 and then worked for 5 years as a hospital doctor, in areas such as Acute Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Care of the Elderly, Diabetes/ Endocrinology and Psychiatry. Following this, I worked for a year as a medical university lecturer, teaching medicine to Physician Associate students; this involved lecturing in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology and clinical medicine, as well as teaching clinical skills and clinical examination technique. I also was an OSCE examiner on the program. I am now completing a master’s in public health, and working as an online medical tutor alongside this.

I can offer friendly one-to-one online tuition to medical students, based around the students’ needs at the time and on topics that they are finding most challenging. I am happy to cover any area of the medical curriculum, including the medical sciences or clinical medicine, such as through discussion of clinical cases. I can also support with clinical skills/ examination technique and OSCE practice. I enjoy sharing my medical knowledge and I am passionate about helping medical students become brilliant clinicians of the future.

Experience: My teaching experience goes back many years. Prior to university I worked as a Mathematics and English tutor for younger children aged 4-16 years. Whilst at university studying Medicine, I ran anatomy revision sessions for students in lower year groups. While working as a doctor, I have taught Medical students and Physician Associate students on the wards, through bedside teaching, and been a bedside tutor in a medical student teaching programme. Following this, I worked as a medical lecturer and clinical skills tutor on a university programme for Physician Associates.
