Hi! I`m Sharon - a 1st Year Medical Student. It is a fascinating field of study, fuelling my scientific curiosity while also enabling me to fulfil my desire to help people in ill health. Since I am now at university, I want to use my experience at school to help teach younger students. I understand that there is a lot of pressure to achieve. In preparing for exams, the excitement of learning something new can be replaced with anxiety at the prospect of not being able to meet expectations. Personally, I found that taking an interest in my subjects and organised revision helped me to achieve great results. Taking notes, teaching others and doing exam questions were some of the ways I learnt. I hope that I will be able to use these methods for the students that I will tutor. From previous teaching experience, I know that students need not only academic support but also overall encouragement and practical advice in order to realise their full potential. I tutor predominantly in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature, structuring them by topics. The lessons will focus on teaching in order to ensure that the student understands the content, explaining questions and improving their exam technique. Apart from this, I hope that I will be able to provide them with advice and reassurance that will enable them to be less stressed and enjoy and excel in the subject they are learning.

Experience: I have tutored intermittently throughout sixth form however, this was never formal. Recently, I have begun tutoring English Literature, Biology, Chemistry at A Level and GCSE and Maths at GCSE Level
