I am an enthusiastic teacher with 24 years of experience of teaching in a wide variety of educational institutions. I studied English and drama at university but I am now a specialist special needs teacher. I have many hobbies and interests that range from rock climbing to arts and crafts and I use these experiences and skills to connect to the young people I teach.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends

Experience: I worked as a private tutor for 8 years in an education center in Cardiff. There I tutored maths and English from KS2 to KS4. I worked as a supply teacher for a number of years which equipped me to be able to deliver quality lessons at very short notice and to be able to manage learners who were unfamiliar to me. I worked in the special needs department of a challenging school in Cardiff where I set up a successful Nurture provision for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD). From there I went on to teach in a BESD specialist school where I worked as the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator. I am currently the Head of Sixth form.
