I am a qualified barrister and solicitor. I graduated from university with a BA Hons degree in English and a post graduate, Juris Doctor, in Law. I am married with 4 children. I am friendly and generally fun to be around.

I have been a tutor for the past 5 years assisting students in English at both GCSE and A Level standard. I understand the levels required for students to maximise their potential. I can help them gain a better understanding of the themes and ideas required to improve their grade in both English Language and English Literature using my own experience as a post graduate student where I have experienced writing high quality essays and dissertations.

I ensure that I work directly with the students to understand their concerns and which areas they are specifically looking to improve upon in reference to the exam/essay marking criteria. I have helped students improve their approach to exams when analysing poetry and prose. This includes discussing the relevant text with the student in effective sessions and I communicate with the parent/guardian to insure the student is receiving high-quality tuition service and that they find the sessions beneficial.

Availability: I am available during week days including after school and at weekends.

Experience: I have been a personal tutor for the past 5 years and have also taught evening classes for adults wishing to obtain GCSE english.
