I am an experienced and highly successful Sociology teacher whose practice has consistently been judged as outstanding across all key stages. My lessons are rooted in strong pedagogical principles, high expectations, and an ability to scaffold complex sociological ideas in a way that is accessible, engaging, and academically rigorous for all learners.

With over 12 years of experience as an AQA examiner, I bring a deep and up-to-date understanding of the assessment demands of both the GCSE and A Level specifications. This experience directly informs my classroom delivery, enabling me to teach students exactly how to meet the requirements of the mark scheme, develop high-quality extended responses, and navigate the subtle but important differences between AO1, AO2, and AO3 skills. I remain fully current with changes introduced since the 2015 reforms, including the increased emphasis on theoretical application, contemporary case studies, and comparative analysis.

As Lead Teacher of Sociology, my outcomes and value-added consistently place my classes among the highest-performing option subjects within the school. My results regularly exceed the national average of 72%, reflecting both strong teaching practice and effective intervention strategies.

I offer both regular tutoring and one-off sessions, depending on the needs of the learner. I can travel locally for in-person sessions and currently have weekend availability, with additional flexibility during school holidays.
