I am a retired English teacher,married with grown up children.My wife and I recently moved to the UK from S.A.and I would very much like to continue teaching English,as a tutor, on a one on one basis.

My love of English and History goes back many decades and to be able to use these subjects as vehicles for interacting with young people in education has been very satisfying.Along the way,I have learned, that the fundamentals of English, are skills which can be learned cognitively, so that the English learner will know what is the right way to write and speak the language.

Availability: Mondays to Fridays 9a.m.to 6p.m.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 28years experience of teaching English at home language and foreign/Second language level,to students between the ages of 12 and 19years.Teaching involved al aspects including Literature,reading,comprehension,writing,oral and aural work.
