Adrian

An experienced full time teacher and private tutor with a proven track record of achieving outstanding success in delivering "A" level Biology and Chemistry and GCSE Science. As an external examiner, I am familiar with the exam requirements and specification for all the exam boards, helping students to master the exam technique and command terms. My teaching experience includes the traditional "A" levels and International Baccalaureate, in both Biology and Chemistry, as well as teaching GCSE Science in secondary schools. Currently, I teach full-time in a London school and lead a pre-medical course.

In understanding difficult topics, my tutees benefit of a large number of electronic resources, including exam questions per topic, past-papers, PowerPoint presentations, cognitive maps and bullet-point revision notes. I expect and guide my students to create their own revision materials, as they go along the subject. This method develops the students` intuitive and predictive skills and help them guess the meaning of the exam questions from the first words. I quickly build my students` confidence and encourage them to take a leading role, not only during our sessions but also in their general learning. I am open to feedback and suggestions from students and parents alike and consistently ensure that I am best meeting their needs.

Parents are welcome to observe the whole lesson, when we could discuss your son/daughter`s needs, strengths and areas for improvement.

Availability: Tutor available during weekends or weekdays after school.
Students are advised to confirm in advance their attendance and the topic they wish to revise by e-mail.
