Hello,

I am a trainee solicitor at a top London City law firm, and will be commencing my final legal qualifications this September.

As a brief background, I have an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Durham. I moved to London last July, and have been working at a law firm for the last 12 months.

I can offer assistance for tutees of any age in the following subjects:

Experience: As the Director of Youth Speak 2012, a regional debating competition held in Durham, I have a very rich experience of working with pupils in secondary school and sixth form. I taught students key debating skills throughout the year and imparted knowledge on other key skills, including applications to work experience schemes and assisting in interview prep.

Throughout my academic career, I have also tutored primary school and GCSE pupils in basic mathematics, English and IT skills. I partook in a mentoring programme throughout my time at Durham University and at sixth form, and undertook formal training as a part of that process.

In addition, as an Economics graduate, I have a wealth of experience using Microsoft Excel, gained primarily from my dissertation for which I achieved a high first class grade.

I have recently assisted both my peers and students seeking advice on key skills in the application processes for those looking to enter the legal sector, or gain internships at leading financial firms.

Additionally, as director of BPP Law School`s Enterprise Pro Bono Project, I have worked with students seeking to improve their Entrepreneurial skills. As I have only recently left the higher education system, I have used my knowledge to work with both adults and students on their CVs, and have a rich and recent experience of interview skills and techniques that are crucial to the application process.
