Information about Zoe

I am a fully qualified science teacher, specialising in both Chemistry and Biology. I have experience of teaching both to students aged 11-18 years including necessary preparation for GCSE and A Level examinations.

Additionally, I have experience of teaching Physics to students aged 11-16 years, including all preparation for GCSE examinations.

Being an examiner for both OCR and AQA, I have a strong awareness of the requirements for examinations. Having assessed students in national statutory examinations with these boards, I am fully equipped with knowledge about the necessary preparation, and where students tend to go astray (especially in answering longer questions!)

Having tutored students privately, as well as taught within schools within the local Sheffield area, I am proficient at structuring and delivering lessons on a one-to-one basis. Some of the pupils that I have taught within the last few years have gone on to university to study medicine and veterinary science, having performed particularly well in their examinations.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher, and always try to match the learning to the needs of the student. I have experience of delivering lessons to pupils with additional needs, including those with english as an additional language, students with dyslexia, and students on the autistic spectrum.
