I overcame my difficulties with Maths. I really struggled with the subject at school. So I know only too well what it is like to be that child in the class who has to put my hand up in embarrassment for the 100th time because I just don`t "get it". That`s why I became a teacher.
I specialise in working with children who feel let down by the educational system and have low confidence with maths. It is my aim to inspire children and fully support them on their journey to success.
I worked extremely hard and I didn`t give up. It helped because my maths teacher believed in me and eventually, I learned to believe in myself...and went on to get a degree in Maths. So if I can do it, so can the children I tutor.
I firmly believe that children can do maths easily if they understand the foundational building blocks in Maths and I help to fill in the gaps in knowledge so that we can make progress together.
I belong to the La Salle Education Maths Mastery community and regularly attend CPD courses and conferences, to keep my own skills up to date.
