SOFTWARE SECURITY ENGINEER
Multicertified Expert in Enterprise Application Development

A Software Engineer with skills and interest in architecting enterprise security applications combined with an intricate understanding and knowledge of modern computing platforms

Availability: Evenings from 1800(6pm) hours except Thursdays and Sundays.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Recent Project Highlights:
 Two Factor Window Credential Providers: Design and Implementation of a two factor authentication solution for Microsoft windows servers and web application. This solution protects remote users connecting with Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), remote services like Outlook WebAccess (OWA), Remote Desktop Web Access (RDWeb) and Windows SharePoint. This has greatly improved user confidence in their working environment and has reduced the number of cyber security related incidents.
 Amazon EC2 Monitoring Solution: Cloud based infrastructure monitoring solution for business-critical processes and collection of performance metrics. This program collects data from operating systems (Linux and windows), application servers and network devices located either on cloud or customer premise to respond in real-time to any infrastructure problem. This has changed the procedure of incident reporting and response. With this tool I can respond to incidents before the retail clients become aware of the problems.
 ISO 27001 Security Policy Toolkit: Design of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) for Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs). The toolkit consists of a security policy document generating software as part of a broader risk management framework. With this solution my clients can generate their own information security policy as part of their PCI DSS compliance process without the need for a dedicated information security officer.
 Information Security Awareness and Education: Introducing and embedding a secure working culture among engineers and customers. Raising awareness on the current trend in malware infection and the need to follow secure procedures and guidelines. Initiated a comprehensive network device and server configuration upgrade by following industry best practices. This has greatly increased the security awareness of employees and clients and reduced the number of malware infection and compliance with government legislation.
 Content Management System Extensions: Developing extension module for the Linux based CMS system with PHP, PERL and Unix C System API to enable the content aggregator accommodate new mobile phone service providers.
 Digital Right Management (DRM): To ensure maximum returns on investment for mobile content development, I developed and implemented a DRM system to ensure that once media have been delivered to the mobile device, they are locked to that device and cannot be delivered to another third party without payment.
 Secure Payment and Content Delivery: Interfacing Content Management System (CMS) with different Mobile Payment Gateway system and developing end point to accommodate new gateway system written in different programming platforms. The position also involves ensuring mobile users are charged the correct rate and resolve conflict when they arise.
 Mobile Java Parser and GUI Toolkit Due to the difference in GUI renderings and screens, I developed a J2ME MidLet that reads graphical user interface elements described as XML document and generate mobile device screens that can be optimized to the device. The solution involved J2ME, J2EE Servlet and Apache Tomcat.
