Information about Steven
Steven is an experienced Head of Department and Examiner with years of teaching experience at some of the UK`s finest independent schools. These include Marlborough College, The King’s School Canterbury and currently for ArtsEd as Head of Department. Steven has significant experience as a private tutor and can apply his skills as a leading educator to his students in a clear, structured and supportive manner.
He was recently appointed as an Education Consultant for The Royal Court Teachers Panel and has worked closely with subject leaders on the new changes to the GCSE and A Level English and Drama curricula.
Steven regularly marks national GCSE and A Level papers for the UK`s most popular exam boards. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the European Shakespeare Research Society.
As an actor, Steven has been fortunate to work with leading theatre companies such as DV8, Complicite and most recently, Frantic Assembly on their critically acclaimed West End production of `Fatherland`.
Availability: Weekday evenings between 5-8 pm. Sunday evenings from 6 pm.

Excellent tutor. Provides great support and guidance on GCSE coursework and preparation for GCSE exam. Very knowledgeable on course content and requirements for GCSE both written and practical elements providing great feedback on both.Very professional and well prepared for the sessions. Lessons greatly improved my child`s performance in all aspects of the GCSE Drama course.

Steven is an extremely conscientious and punctual tutor who is very knowledgable and experienced.His exam technique tips and marking capabilities are very thorough which is exactly what one needs for the GCSE exam preparation. I would most certainly recommend him!!

There are many tutors on this site offering help for drama, but I am so glad that I chose Steven, who is an actual drama teacher, as opposed to voice coach / actor etc. He is incredibly experienced, knows the GCSE syllabuses very well and knows what examiners are looking for - and, as such, knows what students must do in order to pick up those all important marks. It`s early days but I am really happy with the support he has given my child so far. He has also been very flexible, and has been able to just do half hour sessions when needed.
