Experienced in teaching children aged 6-11 both in the classroom and 1:1 tutoring, I would love to provide families with additional teaching support. I am continually developing my own teaching skills through staff training and various online courses about how to challenge higher ability pupils, how to make sure no child feels average, how to use manipulatives in maths to aid learning, and many other courses. I have a love and passion for learning and wish to help foster this love for learning in every child I teach.

Availability: After school Monday to Thursday.

Experience: I have had the pleasure of teaching classes of Year 5 and Year 2 children and will be teaching a Year 3 class from September. I am experienced in teaching lessons across the board, including Maths, English, Guided Reading and Phonics. Previously I have also tutored two children long term, who both made wonderful progress.
I am skillful in tailoring lessons to suit the individual`s needs and have access to a great many resources in order to do this. For Maths lessons, I like to magpie the best ideas from resources such as White Rose Maths scheme, Classroom Secrets, Twinkl and many others. For all subjects, I am aware of the end of year expectations for each Primary year group and can ensure that your child is meeting each of the steps to get there and beyond.
