21-year-old English and Spanish student at the University of Exeter.

I love English Literature and am pursuing this tutoring alongside my studies at university and throughout my summer break. Despite being just 21, I have helped with younger years at both GCSE and A-level and take pride in helping people achieve their goals and fulfill their true potential.

In terms of structure, I like to start with asking students about their main concerns, problem areas, strength areas, target grades and preferred methods of studying - this helps me gage a good idea of how the student likes to learn, as well as what to help them aim towards. After getting to know their learning styles a bit more, I start with some introductory activities and then the rest of the lesson is spent on activities which fit the task at hand. My usual methods include, sample paragraphs, identifying AOs, essay plans, poem/book summaries if needed, work on individual AOs and also marking and feedback.

I prepare for my online lessons with the necessary materials; often I use powerpoint in my online lessons as I feel they offer a great visual aid and are good for sharing between myself and the student.

I love helping students achieve and sometimes exceed their own goals and expectations!
