Information about Cynthia
As a Graduate in Engineering, I had a special interest in the combination of Education and Psychology. I have an unshakeable passion for helping students to fulfil their potential through what I call `personalized education`. No two students learn in the exact same way. All students have different levels of processing and modes of learning whether it be constructivist or behavioural, social or cognitive. What is clear, is that these different modes of thinking call for a landscape where students can express their preferred style of learning whether it be introducing them to a spatial approach of thinking using methods such as mind maps and post it notes during their personal learning time or a more lateral thinking style.

Experience: I am an expert Maths & Science tutor with over 6 years, and 1000+ hours of tuition. From my experience working in person and online platforms, I have been able to communicate effectively with students by understanding the best way to teach complex topics is by putting it in real life context that can be understood and perceived. My experience working with students has helped me develop a high success rate in helping students gain admission into top independent schools. By reaffirming their understanding in subjects covered, they gain confidence to aim higher in their aspirations and gain entry into their first choice schools.
My teaching style is patient, yet thorough implementing efficient strategies tailored to each student. I enjoy meeting new students and the exciting challenge of figuring out how each student learns best. The challenge to explain seemingly complex ideas as simply as possible is one every teacher faces and is one I enjoy. My genuine eagerness to motivate, guide and encourage students in the right direction results my confident style of teaching.
Having taught from KS3 up to undergraduates in University, I was inspired to start designing a landscape to improve the way people approach learning at any and every level. This has taught me to plan and execute lessons efficiently as well as the importance of periodic checks of progress through out the course of lessons. It is important that both tutors and students hold themselves with a high level of integrity, taking leadership over their progress form all angles.
