My education background:
PhD in Molecular Biology of prostate cancer
B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry and Genetics (second upper).

My work experience:
More than 11 years of research experience (cell and molecular biology, cancer research, clinical research).
Employed by University of Cambridge, University of Bristol, University of Sheffield, University of Newcastle and NHS. Have publication experience of scientific manuscri pt in peer-reviewed journal.

Additional training:
Completed an intensive online clinical research course in 2008. Course provider was Kriger Research Centre, Canada.

Language skills:
Excellent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English and Malaysian languages (verbal and written).

In 2006/2007, worked as an interpreter/translator (Mandarin, English, Cantonese) for an interpreting company. Worked in Crown Court, magistrate court, solicitors’ offices, job centres, government offices, medical centres and clients’ homes.

During college vacation (1996), worked as a reporter for a Chinese newspaper. Conducted interviews wrote news reports and interview articles (restaurant recommendations, a drug rehabilitation centre etc.).

Experience: In the current job role as a Senior Research Associate, led a tutoring session in Clinical Research for Medical students in University of Bristol.

In 2006/2007, taught Mandarin classes to employees in AkzoNobel, Gateshead (a global paints and coatings company).
