Hello! I am Yana and I have just finished my A levels in Chemistry, Biology, Maths and German. With 4 A* predictions I hope to study Medicine at Imperial College London in the coming year. My A-level knowledge is still fresh so I have the knowledge to teach any parts of the syllabuses of the four A-levels I`ve taken. I am also more than happy to teach GCSE Science, Maths and German. Having achieved straight 9s and an A in Additional Mathematics, I am happy to be of help to students with a wide range of abilities.

My teaching approach is "learn-by-doing" and after I explain concepts thoroughly, the students and I will work through various exam questions during our tutor sessions and (depending on how much they aim to improve) they might be given some work to prepare at home for our next session. I will tailor my tutorials entirely to the student. My aim is to make learning the respective courses interesting and accessible in order to allow students to unlock their full potential.

** I am happy to discuss timings of the tutorials in order to best fit the students but I need a 24 hour notice if a tutor session has to change time or be cancelled.
>> When we arrange a time for our sessions, I will also if there are any particular parts of the course the students wants to focus on so I can prepare the tutorials. If there are any special requests I will also need them at least 24 hours before the tutorial to ensure the best preparation.

Availability: I am available Monday through Friday - times are flexible as long as there is a 24 hours notice and we have spoken about availability. Saturday and Sunday are going to be quieter but I am still happy to help any students who need additional support, again upon agreement at least 24 hours prior.

Experience: I have tutored GCSE Maths and Science students and I have also been a German speaking partner to both GCSE students and fellow A-level students. I have also unofficially tutored A-level Science and Maths students who have reached out for help.

I have also done quite a lot of work experience teaching younger children and although that might not seem useful, it has actually equipped me with a lot of patience and many versatile learning approaches.
