Currently undertaking the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law prior to commencing a Training Contract.

I have a 2:1 LLB in Law from the University of Leeds, a highly ranked and respected Law School. I am well versed in core areas of Law, with a particular focus on Criminal Law and Torts. A background in Physics and Mathematics gives me a unique insight in to techniques for tackling Problem Questions and analysing scenario based questions, an area which can be seen as an obstacle for many. I am also happy to tutor and advise on research techniques, and provide advise on how to engage with case law and primary legislation. These skills saw me achieve a First Class dissertation mark, and will provide a huge benefit for those who are considering/have chosen to pursue law to degree level.

I am not offering courses in EU Law at this time.

I have experience in coaching a wide variety of abilities in different disciplines, this includes mentoring as well as multiple years as a whitewater kayaking guide and coach. This allows me to draw on a wealth of education experience, and approach tutoring from different angles to enable you to bring out your own innate ability and understanding of the topic.

A final point to make is that I believe law is best understood through gaining a grounded understanding in how to approach the varying sources of law, and understanding that all disciplines inevitably cross over. However, law is by its nature a subject that relies heavily on remembering cases and legislation. As such I can adapt sessions to work on revision techniques for memorising key legislation, cases, and facts.
