Information about Christopher

I am currently working towards my doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Reading.

My research uses models to simulate pharmacological systems.

I am well versed in all concepts taught at GCSE and A Level.

As a PhD student, I can provide relevant insight into higher education. I can answer any questions relating to A-level choices, UCAS or applications for further degrees.

I am experienced with following areas of Undergraduate Mathematics:
- Linear Algebra
- Calculus
- Geometry
- Probability and Statistics
- Mathematical Models
- Mathematical Physics
- Analysis
- Measure Theory
- Operator Theory
- Number Theory
- Mathematical Programming
- Ordinary/Partial Differential Equations
- Topology
- Stochastic Processes

I strive to make my lessons enjoyable and interactive. Using whiteboards with my tutees I have noticed an increase in self-confidence and ability.

Problem sheets are available after a lesson, prepared by myself, to cement understanding.

I passionately believe Maths should be enjoyed and not exasperating!

Availability: I am available most evenings; accepting tutees at the following levels of education:

- GCSE
- A-level
- Undergraduate/Masters

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have experience with teaching all major UK exams (11+, 13+, GCSE, iGCSE, EPQ, A level, IB), across all major boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).

I have worked for five years as a Swimming Teacher. I have taught children and adults with a range of abilities and circumstances.

My son`s first session was cancelled by Chris. It was for a valid reason but it took a while to hear back. The second session arranged for 3pm on a Sunday was cancelled by Chris at 5am the same day due to a career commitment the following week. I was unsure why he couldn`t accommodate my son that weekend and felt best endeavours to should have been made to as the session had already been re-arranged. Chris has not contacted me since. Having paid for Chris`s details, I now question his commitment to tutoring. Exam year is an anxious time. The relationship between tutor and young adult needs to be build on consistency and reliability. I will not be progressing with Chris.
