Information about Lucy
Recently retired Head of English with experience of all Key Stages from Year 5-13. Examiner for OCR and International Baccalaureate. I have extensive experience of working with dyslexia, EFL students and Oxbridge entrants. I enjoy tutoring enormously because I can tailor lessons to the needs of each individual and help them progress.
Availability: I am pretty busy June-July because of exam marking but otherwise have lots of availability.

Our 12 year old son has had about six lessons with Lucy so far. They are going great. Lucy is a very able teacher and able to connect well with our son.

Lucy tutors my son online. We are in Singapore and it has worked out really well. My son was at a 4 for Y10 English lang exams. He then managed a 7 for IGCSE mocks with Lucy’s help. He will sit the 2025 May IGCSE exams. She is very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. Highly recommend.

Lucy has been a great source of encouragement and support for my son. She has given him confidence in his ability to succeed, and I appreciate all of Lucy`s hard work and dedication. As my son approaches the final weeks leading up to his GCSE, I know that Lucy`s help and support will pay off on results day.
