My name is Isabelle and have had loads of experience in teaching/tutoring Maths, English and Science over the years. I have quite a varied academic and professional background that has provided me with a large breadth of knowledge and experience. I studied computational chemistry at university (UCL & Queen Mary University), completing a PhD in it 2 years ago. While I was completing my PhD, I was working as a data scientist as well, further sharpening my mathematical skills.

I started to tutor over 7 years ago, while I was at university, starting with volunteering for underprivileged children at after-school club before progressing to private tuition. As a private tutor I have supported many GCSE students through their maths exams, KS3 and 11+ students with English and maths, and also tutoring primary school students in maths to support them through the early stages of their education.

I absolutely love working as a teacher and have always managed to form very trusting relationships with my students and their parents. I am always determined to understand where my students’ strengths and weaknesses lie in terms of confidence and abilities, and use this knowledge to support them on their journey to success!

Aside from being well qualified and experienced, I am also extremely reliable and flexible, well organised, friendly and like to make teaching fun.
