I am a professional Pianist and tutor with expertise in teaching students to play the piano up to grade 8 (ABRSM, Rock school or Trinity). My knowledge and experience on the piano has been highly regarded as I hold professional qualifications as a Masters Degree graduate with a scholarship in music performance from the University of Birmingham.

I have a 100% pass rate for ABRSM grade 1 - 8 examinations with all students achieving the minimum of a merit and the majority passing with a distinction.

Teaching Approach

I provide piano lessons for all ages from beginners up to grade VIII standard. This may be your first time playing the piano and have always wondered how to approach learning your favourite song. On the other hand you may have already had lots of experience playing and you are seeking expert guidance on how to pass your music exams with high marks. I have over 5 years of experience of tutoring students from the very beginning elementary stages of learning to play the piano and developing them into highly skilled musicians. The lessons that you will have, adapt to your own style of learning which for some will mean wanting to learn solely by ear but for others, this will be focusing on developing knowledge from the fundamentals of music theory and reading notation.

Some examples of the materials that my students are learning include up to date popular songs from artists such as John Legend and Adele to your favourite film theme tunes such as the Titanic or Jurassic Park . Whatever your tastes are in music, you will experience engaging dynamic practical lessons designed to help you reach your goals from an expert in the field of piano. Other materials that I have been teaching include classical repertoire from Franz Liszt and Beethoven.
