Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I have always been very curious about science, and I love the prospect of being a life-long learner in field that’s always developing. I aspire to transfer my enthusiasm and share my knowledge while tutoring to help students achieve their greatest potential.

I have an excellent understanding of Biology with the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that’s easy to understand. We will look into the way YOU learn best, to make the most meaningful progress and improvement.

I am a friendly and patient science tutor with extensive experience with Science Communication & Engagement and have over 5 years of tutoring from the ages of 11 to 18. (Primary, KS3, GCSE, IB).

Science Communication Projects:

(1) Published a Children’s Book about Leukemia called ‘Chemo to the Resuce’ to explain the science in basic terms and visuals to guide treatment expectations. www.chemototherescue is the website I developed to allow the book to be read free online in six different languages.

(2) Placement with NIHR Barts Biomedical Research Centre on their forum ‘Let’s Talk Hearts’: developed an interactive website activity to enhance public engagement on the topic of heart health. Science should be accessible to everyone, and communication is the essential component needed to reduce this knowledge gap in understanding between scientists and the public.

Interests: Public Speaking, Painting, Creative Writing.
