Information about Sam
I`m a native English Airbus A320 Pilot able to assist with all aspects of your future aviation career - from English conversation or Radio Telephony practice to help with your ATPL or Type Rating theory and everything in between! Passionate about all things aviation, I have a patient, calm and friendly approach while adapting to the unique requirements of each individual.
Winner of the 2019 British Women Pilots` Association Jackie Moggridge Trophy for high achievement.
Winner of the 2017 British Women Pilots` Association ATPL Scholarship.
For those interested in improving their English speaking skills generally (not necessarily linked to aviation) I have recently completed the following courses:
1. Cambridge Assessment English "Teaching English Online"
2. British Council "Understanding IELTS: Speaking"
As well as aviation, I share a love of horses and equestrianism. I also have professional teaching qualifications in this sphere.
Availability: I work part-time so my availability is generally good. Please get in touch and we`ll find a mutually convenient time for an online meeting. I`m happy to make early morning/late evening appointments to work around your schedule. I look forward to hearing from you - any delay in reply will be because I am flying but I will respond at the earliest opportunity.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Licence held for 10 years, 700 hours.
Multi-engine CPL/IR (single pilot), type rated on A320 family. First time passes in all UK ATPL theory exams, with overall average of 92%.
I qualified via the "modular" route and so have trained the slow and steady way - taking in the Night Rating, IR(R)/IMC rating separately along the way, before achieving my CPL and ME-IR.
I specialise in working with those who may lack confidence and look forward to helping you on your own unique journey into the skies - whether that be ahead of your very first flight or on your way to your Type Rating!
