I have recently graduated from King`s College London with an MA in Classics having finished my BA at Durham University in June 2018. I have always loved Classics, studying Latin from the age of 13 and Ancient Greek from the age of 15. While studying Classics at university I discovered my love for Greek drama writing my undergraduate dissertation on masculinity in Greek tragedy and my Master`s dissertation on the links between femininity and madness across three famous plays. Studying ancient texts in the their original language means I have great attention to detail which is a useful skill in a tutor. I also have an A-level in English Literature and would be keen to tutor in this subject.

While at university I became very involved in student theatre which has given me excellent organisational and communication skills, a huge asset in a tutor. I am a passionate and hard-working person with a real love for Classics and I would really relish the opportunity to pass my knowledge onto the children I tutor.

Availability: Available weekday afternoons and Saturday during the day

Experience: In the second term of my Upper Sixth, I volunteered at a local primary school teaching Latin to Year 6. This experience taught me loads about how to teach an entirely new subject and helped me to discover ways of making learning enjoyable and informative. I built on these skills when tutoring throughout university, learning which methods make the best lessons.
