I am an excellent teacher and will instil confidence in you/ your child. I have helped to improve the performance of students studying for tests and exams. In some cases, grades have improved by 2 or more, that is from a B to A* and recently from U to B in A level chemistry. I am very patient and enthusiastic about my subjects. I have a DBS certificate with the DBS updating service which is checked annually, currently expires 2020. I am registered on the welsh teaching register (education workforce council).

I am able to teach your child attending Welsh speaking schools through the medium of english and google translator. I have taught many pupils from Welsh medium school with equal success to those in English medium schools.

For the sciences I conduct experiments throughout the year to support learning. This enables me to bring the subject alive, as science is a practical occupation in the real world not merely academic.

Experience: Been teaching 15 years and tutoring since 2015. I teach chemistry to A level, and at GCSE biology, chemistry, physics and maths. I run practical workshops to help with preparation for your practical exam.

I am a qualified science teacher and research biochemist.

Previous to becoming a teacher, I worked as a research biochemist and teacher in universities and hospitals for 20 years. This means I am an expert in chemical and biological techniques and will prepare you for the GCSE practical exams. I am home office cleared to perform these experiments.

I am presently tutoring over 20 students, some from this site. I am highly recommended by my students to friends and family.
