Wendy

I am a teacher of French and Spanish with many years’ experience in both the state and private sectors. I also lived and worked as an EFL teacher in France and Spain for 3 years. Although I am happy to teach at any level, GCSE and ‘A’ level French and Spanish are my specialities and I have extensive experience as a GCSE, AS and A2 oral examiner. Most recently, I have taught the new specification `AS` and `A` level in both French and Spanish. If you need help in any aspect of language learning, I offer considerable expertise and a love of language teaching and learning, along with a professional and friendly approach.

Availability: Flexible to suit your needs. I shall, however, be away from 6th to 26th September.

Experience: Having completed my Modern Languages degree at Durham University, I worked in publishing before training as a teacher at Cambridge University. I have taught both French and Spanish from year 4 up to GCSE and ‘A’ level. Having trained in TEFL, I taught for English for 2 years in San Sebastián, Spain and for 1 year in Angers, France. I have also had experience in one-to-one tutoring, mainly to help students to prepare for their GCSE and ‘A’ level speaking exams and in addition to this, I have run day and evening classes for adult learners.
