I am a positive, patient and enthusiastic person who is extremely passionate about teaching. In my spare time I look after my dog (Meg, a retriever!) and love to rock climb. I am an empathetic teacher and like to use concrete examples where possible in my tutoring (this is where you teach an idea or skill using real-life examples that the child can relate to). I am creative and believe that learning new knowledge and skills can be approached in many different ways to suit the child. Additionally, I firmly believe in giving praise for all progress and love to promote and foster a comfortable and positive environment in my classroom and tutoring sessions.

Experience: I am currently a qualified secondary English teacher at a school in Leicester. In my previous role before I became a qualified teacher I worked as a GCSE-specific English tutor at a secondary school in Leicester, providing small group and 1-1 tutoring in school.
